There is no remainder of me,
I have nothing to give to you,
You've sucked the life right out of my veins,
And left me dry and dead.
I lie here on the icy ground,
In a place I can never know,
Stealing me from my homeland you took me away,
And found for me a homa I can't call mine.
So I will sit and wait out the lonely days
Watching you come and go every year,
Telling me you're never coming back,
Or are you telling me I'm not coming back?
All I know is I've lost something,
Something I can never regain,
I have no remainder, nothing left,
I have nothing to give and you have all to take.
I sit here and watch your continuous mistake,
No way to bring to life the dreams I make,
If you could go back in time would you
Let me stay or make me go?
You see my life is not in my hands,
It's all in yours and the dark taint on
My fading soul, my broken body,
My life spilling as you watch it flicker,
You tell me you'll never return and
I'll never come back and
You'll never go away, you say you're there,
Mother Father why don't I feel you?
Sitting alone letting the days pass,
I tried to live but it does not last,
I tried to fly but there was not enough
Strength left in my wings to make it up,
So I fell down, down, down,
Fell to the ground, I'll never be found.
I saw within you your growing fear,
Why can't you try to believe that I am here?
But maybe I'm noto longeh here,
Maybe I'm already gone.
Maybe I've come to the end of the song.
The piano's notes grow dim in my ears,
The voice of life confirming your fears,
But all I know is that voice has bound me
To this earth for a seeming eternity.
The voice of life grows dim in my soul,
My existance takes its toll.
Goodbye, all you who surrounded my life
And tried to give it something to feed on,
No: My life, it's feeding on me.
Goodbye, goodbye,
Someday we'll meet again
In the light.

Dedicated to the one who saved my life. May that wonderful person know how much that meant. This is his story. Can you be the ones to help rewrite it, and this time, fix it? Help me get him back, help the world get many bright souls back.

The poem started and ended very lonely. The tone was like the person felt traped and was about to give up. It was sad, to me, the ending seemed like the person just wanted to leave, die or just let go of everything because it was too much to handle. I think, the person was still hoping that things will turn out right, but instead he keeps on getting disappointed and losing all his strenght to hope or live. Well, these are just my interpretation to your poem.

Hmmm. You have a good sense. You are mostly right.

Yes there is, but the details are not of my life so it's not my place to tell you... I just hoped he'd see it. But he never comes on the site anyway, and now he really can't.
